TEHRAN -- A collection of sculptures by Iranian actress Vishka Asayesh is scheduled to be put on display in an exhibition at Tehran’s Etemad Gallery in August and September.

“The collection includes 12 bronze sculptures that I have made over the past two years,” she told the Persian service of ISNA on Sunday.

A collection of paintings by Zeinab Hashemi will be also put on show at the exhibit, which will run from August 31 to September 11.

Asayesh learned the art from the world-renowned Iranian sculptor Parviz Tanavoli. She held her first exhibit at the Asar Gallery in Tehran in 2008.

“Making sculpture is among the activities that bring me inner peace. I am really in love with it. It is not just a hobby for me and I follow it seriously,” she added.

The collection is comprised of several of Asayesh’s modern works. She refused to make any comments about the artworks and said that she prefers that the visitors have their own views about them.
